BoostedCV ("we", "us") helps job seekers improve their resumes. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Free ATS Check

The free ATS check runs entirely in your web browser. Your resume is not uploaded to us or stored anywhere when you use the checker. To see your report, we ask for your email and (optionally) your first name. We save these with your score, target role, country and the names of your top fixes, so we can send your report and, only if you tick the box, a few tips emails. Every tips email has an unsubscribe link.

Showing your local prices

To show prices in your currency, our website uses a location lookup service that estimates your country from your internet connection. We don't store this information.

What we collect when you place an order

The details you enter on our order forms (such as your name, email, phone, the package you choose and any file you attach), so we can confirm your order and email you an order summary. If you enter your email on an order form but don't finish your order, we may send you one reminder email in case you need help; we won't send more than one. With your order we also record how you first found us (for example a search engine, a referring website or a campaign link), which is stored in your browser until then, so we can see which channels bring customers. We don't use advertising cookies for this.

What we collect when you become a client

• Your name, email address, phone number (optional) and country
• Files you upload, such as your resume, cover letters and job ads
• Messages you send us through the client portal or by email
• Payment confirmation details (we do not see or store your full card details; payments are handled by our payment provider)

How we use it

We use your information only to deliver the services you order: writing and editing your documents, communicating with you about your order, and sending you your finished files. We may send you occasional emails related to your order or our services; you can opt out at any time by replying "STOP" or using the unsubscribe link.

How it's stored

Client accounts, files and messages are stored with our secure hosting provider. Files are private: only you and our team can access them.

Sharing

We never sell your information. We only share it with service providers we need to run the business (such as website hosting, our database, email delivery, live chat and payments), or if required by law. We also keep a record of your order activity (such as when files were uploaded, delivered and downloaded, and when you approved your work), which we may share with our payment provider if a payment dispute is opened.

Online portfolios

If you order an online portfolio, the details you approve (for example your name, photo, work history and contact links) are published on a public web page. You can ask us to change it or take it down at any time.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your files for up to 12 months after your order so you can request updates. You can ask us to delete your account and files at any time by emailing [email protected].
